We depend on the generosity of people like you to carry out our mission. Our volunteers are the voice, heart, and hands of this ministry. We are looking for those who have a heart for women, men, children, and families; who are willing to learn (training is provided); who have an attitude of service and acceptance.
Of course we’d like to have volunteers for whole or half day shifts, but some of you may not have that amount of time to donate. We have volunteers who donate two hours per week, and it is helpful. Please don’t pass up the opportunity to volunteer at the center because you don’t think two hours will make a difference—it does!
Reach out to young parents experiencing unplanned pregnancies with the compassion and love of Jesus by offering practical assistance and one-on-one mentoring. We cover topics from prenatal care, labor/birth, parenting, and childhood development up to age two. Shift is during office hours. Training will be provided.
Group parenting classes will be repeated throughout the year based on interest and volunteer commitment. We’ll offer 2 different classes, one is 7 weeks long (positive parenting) and the other is 8 weeks long (Christian based). We’ll need 2 facilitators and a minimum of 2 daycare helpers to commit for each 7 or 8 week session. Dates TBA based on volunteer interest. Shift varies between office hours and evenings, depending on the 7 or 8 week session. Training will be provided.
This is a less formal setting and involves parent/child interaction. The topics discussed are based on the needs of the group. We’d love to have 2 group facilitators as well as 2-4 helpers to aid parents who struggle while interacting with their children in a social setting. Dates TBA, based on interest and volunteer commitment. Shift varies between office hours and evenings. Training will be provided.
We’d like to open the center for a community play day, at least one time per month. The center is well suited for an indoor, child friendly place where parents can have a “park day” when it’s too cold, or too hot to go to the park! Dates TBA, based on volunteer commitment. Shift is during office hours.
If the Lord has blessed you with the gift of hospitality, then this position is for you! We are looking for warm, friendly people to welcome our clients and supporters. This position overlaps with other duties, such as answering phones, processing donations, light cleaning, helping with newsletter preparation, etc. Shift is during office hours. Training will be provided.
Has the Lord given you the gift of creativity and attention for detail? In this position, you will help create flyers, pamphlets, update documents, data entry, help write grants, and more. Shift is somewhat flexible, but the majority of your time will require office hours.
This position involves processing donated items for the incentive market by sorting, washing, and restocking the market so parents can easily shop for resources for their babies. Shift is during office hours.
